  • Develop and implement EWON’s Systemic Issues Framework, including processes for identifying, tracking, reporting and assessing impact.
  • Generate internal and external reports on systemic issues, conduct internal and external training on systemic issues, and prepare reports of potential regulatory non-compliance for regulators such as the AER and IPART.
  • Provide advice on new and current investigations to identify emerging, systemic and compliance issues, and contributes to the development of systemic issue reports and other EWON publications about emerging consumer issues.
  • Contributes to research and drafting of EWON’s policy submissions or comments to Government, regulators or industry on relevant policy changes.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification/s in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in investigating systemic issues or complaints – for example in an Ombudsman scheme (industry or government), another complaints-management body, or an energy or water company.
  • Experience developing policy submissions, preferably involving regulation and legislative review.

  • Knowledge of Australia’s energy or water regulatory frameworks, or ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge.
  • Confidence using O365 suite including Excel, Word, Teams and Planner.
  • Confidence in understanding and analysing data, and/or using software or AI to understand data.
